Child support is calculated in Tennessee using the Tennessee child support guidelines. Department of Children’s Services has put out a child support worksheet that you can download from their website that lays out how to calculate that without you having to read the whole set of guidelines. And the way that works is you put your names on the child support worksheet, you put your children’s names and dates of birth on the child support worksheet, and then the child support worksheet tries to

equalize the amount of each parent’s income in the other parent’s house per day. And so, the way that works is you put in the number of days that each parent spends with the child or the children, and then each parent’s gross income, and then some additional credits that you may be entitled to, such as children from other relationships, health insurance premiums for the children, and that includes your health insurance, dental, and vision, recurring medical expenses, and then any work-related

daycare. You get some credits for those in the child support worksheet. And so, the child support worksheet tries to balance out those payments between the two parties so that it is equalized.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. PattersonBray Estate Planning was an incredible firm to work with setting up our Trust. Judith Denham was thorough, very smart, and personable as she patiently explained each part. Gabby put together a very professional beautiful binder for us to have, and has answered questions we have had since then. I am so glad they were recommended to us, and we had them to walk us through this procedure.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Heath Taylor was a genuine joy to work with during my divorce: straight forward, professional, and knowledgeable. I do hope I never have the need to acquire more legal help, but if I do, he'll be my first call. Thank you for everything, Heath!!
